When spring arrives, it can only mean one thing: Easter (or Pasqua as we Italians call it) is just around the corner. Easter is a big deal for Italian families. As the first major holiday after Christmas and the New Year, Easter represents a special time when everyone comes together to celebrate springtime. This year, Easter Sunday falls on April 1st, and Eataly Arabia intend to mark the occasion in style. As usual, that means plenty of delicious treats for the region’s foodies to enjoy, and special events for youngsters as well.
Delicious Colombe in Eataly Dubai stores
For starters, we’ll be offering our own take on Colomba pasquale. Cooked to resemble a dove, these sweet delicacies are a fusion of pandoro and panettone cakes. The dough contains a smattering of candied peel, while the crust is topped with almond flakes and pearl sugar, with magical results. What’s more, the dove is a symbol of peace, making these cakes more then just tasty desserts. We’ll also have a tantalising selection of eggs (or uova) from the artisan confectioner Venchi. Get the kids involved in Eataly’s Easter celebrations
This year, we are offering more than delicious cakes and eggs, with our Dubai and Doha stores will also be hosting parties for young food lovers. Entrance costs just AED 60/QR 60, and participants will enjoy exciting Easter egg hunts, learn how to paint Easter eggs, and bake their own Easter breads.
